I was thinking the Arctic green kA and I happen to have some of that. Thanks.

Don't have the sky blue but could probably justify a trip to Michaels or Hobby lobby today.

The Artic Green Apple makes a fantastic bright grassy green! As always, make sure you use alot. I used one pack for 1/4 oz of yarn and it's perfect for the stem of a pumpkin. I used the blue lemonade whatever KA and it was a nice light blue if you don't use a whole lot. I don't know about wilton's...haven't used it :LOL

Oh, I think I have the blue lemonade kind too.

I have two packs of the green and 4 of the blue or maybe 6 of the blue....That may do the trick...Of course if it turns out too light, I can always make it darker! (can't say the same for my too dark mistakes!)

I got a blue w/ Raspberry Reaction KA. Here's a pic: www.theknittykitty.com/images/wiltonska.jpg
It's the skein on the right mixed w/ Black Cherry. I used four packets for half the skein, so that's 2 oz. of yarn.

HELP!

I did six packets of the blue lemonade and got a lovely ....Mint GREEn....

I have some now in Wilton's sky blue...but it is looking like it has the greenish hue coming through too....

FWIW I am dying fisherman's. (I get yellow undertones with the pinks too.)

Am still trying to get a very pale blue. Heck at this point I would go for anything not greenish.....

That's weird! How much yarn are you dyeing? Maybe you just need more ka?

Do you think it will go beyond the green given more dye? I was afraid it would just get greener.

I am not really sure how much yarn it was that I did the first time....maybe 3/4 of a skein of fishermans...6 packets of the blue lemonade KA.

I have probably 3/4 of a skein of fishermans in the sky blue wiltons now (It is blue 1 the same as the KA)

So you think I should just keep adding more dye? I guess I am not really out much using more of it as I only paid .89 for the dye.

But man I have this image in my head of exactly what I want to do...

That's tough when you know exactly what you want and you're not getting there. Here's a link to the blue I got with the blue lemonade:

I paint my wool with a medicine dropper. I mix up the ka and then I drop it onto the yarn until it's as dark as I want it then I microwave it for 2 mins, cool for ~5 mins, nuke for 2, cool, nuke for 2, cool for ~10 mins and then cold rinse and squeeze the water out and start the drying process. I HTH some.

Well for now I am just adding more and more color to the bath of wool. I do my dyeing in the slow cooker. I had thought that if the water was the color I wanted the yarn would be too, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

The color you got is what I am hoping for. I am guessing I am likely to end up a bit darker than I had hoped for, but am keeping my fingers crossed that it will come close to my expectations.

If you really really want that color I'd do it for you :) I know how it is to have your heart set on something :LOL

YOu are too sweet. I am actually think I may just get some brown sheep wool as they have the color I am looking for.

You should see the blue I got with the "sky blue"...It is beautiful but not the look I was going for. I am going to play with the camera tonight and will try and put a picture of my two "blues" up here.
