I took the knitting smilie and turned her hooker! The new hooker smilie has red lipstick and light blue eyeshadow and is crocheting...you guess it...red yarn. :) I think she's making some lingerie. :brow

Here is the smilie (compared to that boring old knitting smilie):

I made her bigger so you can see her in all her hooker glory:

What do you think? Is she worthy?

You want me to place the lefty hooker or you want to flip her first?

I was teasing, but actually, flipping her would mean she and the knitter could face and talk (or have their backs to each other! :LOL).

can someone with paint shop flip her please, I only have 'paint' and it gets screwed up.

Oh wow! I have company for one day and I missed all this!!! I am a lefty - ergo my hooker is too. :pink If it is okay I will flip her in the morning for those righties out there.

Oh cool! I just noticed she is the pole position of emoticons!!! :mwah Cool. 8)

Katie, I took the knitter smilie and gave her a crochet hook instead. I had to modify her hook and hand motion so she would be crocheting and then gave her final touches. You know, *red* yarn, heavy makeup and such. Patti thought of high heels, but I didn't go that far. :brow

Okay, so I couldn't go to bed without creating a righty hooker. I'm not just a dork, I am a TIRED dork! Here they are in a crocheting SnB:

An animated gif is created in frames. Hooker lady here is 22 frames. You have to use an image editor that can handle frames. Photoshop can't handle it (and actually pops up a window warning you of that), so Paint probably can't handle it. I created her in Fireworks.

can someone with paint shop flip her please, I only have 'paint' and it gets screwed up.

can you make her into a banner that says "Advertise at woolywonder.com forums! You might pick up some hookers!"

I'd post that banner at MDC!

How about this one...23 frames later... :sigh:

That's really cute, Amy, but for me it's showing the "hookers" frame(set) just slightly longer than the "advertise" frame(set?) - you probably want to reverse those proportions!

Anyway, I love it. :) :rightyho:

Timing-wise, I think that's about perfect.

Wow, someone listened to my advice. I feel so special! ^_^

Pam,
You want the hookers to hook slower? Or you want the advertise part to stay longer? More information please. :D
I am downloading the font now.

ha ha!!!

I want the words to flash more slowly, so they can be read more easily . The rate of hooking is just fine ;)

Here is the updated version. I used your fav font and left the first phrase showing for longer. Is this what you had in mind?

Amy - how much do you charge for banner ads?

CraftyMommaOf2

Amy, that's great!

mamapez
09-13-2004, 11:25 AM
Ummm...I have no idea. This is only my second one. I would probably rather do a trade than get money for them. Anyone know what a fair trade is (yarn, soaker, pants, other)? :hmm

eta: If you already have the individual frames made up, I can automate those for you for free.
