While cleaning today I happened upon my youngest child's vax record...She was in the office about 2 months ago....well 6 weeks ago. I was told she was up to date on the vaxes....
I
I think the PA may have overlooked something as according to my record she didn't get the MMR. And I foolishly just took their word for it.

Normally I wouldn't care except I am in the heart of where mumps outbreaks are - and there have also been a few cases of measles...

So I have a call in to the office to have them verify....Now I need to see what the spacing is on those doses so that we don't get them too close together or have it screwed up there. (I don't like her having a bunch of shots close together...well honestly I don't like her getting shots at all...)

Hope you get it worked out, Pam!

Pam, is your oldest 5? I think they get a shot around 18 mos and then another before they enter kindergarten, at their 5 year visit.

Well, I was right. The silly PA over looked that she hadn't had her MMR.

She hasn't had ANY MMR dose.....YIKES! And leave it to me to find out in the middle of the mumps outbreak.

WE had delayed the MMR in the hopes we could get them separate....that didn't work out for us.

Anyway, she goes in today and will get the MMR and her second dose of Hep B (I would have skipped that one all together if it hadn't been for silly school regulations ---I know there are ways around, but it more challenging b/c she is partially vax. and her sibs are fully vaxed)

Shoot I was going to tell you to have them do a blood test to see if she created the titers to it then she wouldn't need it.

I doubt if she would titer all three - and around here it is really hard to get them separate.....

She is still mad at me. She carried on more before the shot than after...Poor nurses They earned their money today.
