View Full Version : Waistband ? Need help NOW!

Hi All,
I am re-writing my pants pattern (sigh) cause the guage is larger on this new yarn (I kind of knew it would be, but was hoping)....now for the question...
When doing the waistband would you go down 17% (20% doesn't work) or by 6% (10% doesn't work either)...PLease help!!!

If 20% doesn't work, then I'd guess to go with 17%. Just going down 6% isn't much of a decrease. But, then again I don't know how it works for crochet.

'cause it's not divisible evenly by 4...lol.... :D

When I get a # that does't divide evenly here's what I do: find the nearest multiple of 4 to my 20% number. That way you don't have to screw with the percentages. I'd definately get as close to the 20% mark as possible. It seems like the waistband always stretches with use!
