Cascade Yarns?

I'm planning to place an order with Cascade, anyone want to pre-order some? :lol:

Cascade Eco Wool is 11.00 in natural
Cascade 220 is 4.50
Pastaza (50/50 wool/llama) is 7.50

These are all pre-order prices, they will be selling for more in my store.

I'll be ordering on Friday :D

Whatever you want, I'm only ordering the Eco in natural for my store, although I may get a few of their natural "colors" did you know they're going to start selling the Eco in colors?? But they're not available yet :(

I'm addicted to Eco Wool, and after days and days of searching online, $11 a skein is a great deal. You can count on me for at least 4 skeins. I'm not going to get any Cascade, though. And if you have to put it on the backburner, no big deal.

We'll see how it goes :D This yarn isn't a "priority" right now, just an extra to add to my store b/c I"m rapidly expanding my yarn selections. More than half my orders are for yarns now....and I thought I was doing good with fabrics :lol:

Just wanted to add, the Cascade 220 Quatro is .75 per skein more than just the solid colors.

Yup, I think we can do it. For the Eco, I'm planning to just order natural for my store, maybe one of the greys. The 220 I have no idea what I want :lol: This will be my first order with them so I don't know how quickly they ship etc, but I"d expect 1-2 weeks from the order date?

Nope, I don't think there's a min. per color. At least they didn't specify one. Some yarns they carry are sold by the 10's, but they're 50g balls, these are skeins and are priced individually, so I'm assuming there's no min. for them.

Do you by chance have a color card? I was looking at the new quatro colors but I think i would want to put a solid with it....hard to tell on the screen what would go well.

Yes still ordering. I"m working on soap tonight and will post totals probably in the wee hours of the morning. We have big changes going on around here. I"m moving my yarns from fabriconnection and creating a separate yarns store and we're planning to open a "real"yarn store when we get moved to Arkansas. I hope to have a full service store, from book/patterns to every yarn you could imagine. I"ve had an announcement up on my front page for a while about yarns we're slowly adding to stock, and I"m starting with the Cascade, then just going down the list from there :D

ACK! I wrote the wrong color number, you're right, it's 9432. I think that same turquoise and 9427 go with 9434

Am I evil...I went to the LYS and looked at their 220....alas no quatro for me to look at....Am thinking I might just stick with solids for a bit (and save a few bucks too.)

So, in the car is the list of colors I liked in the store. (But I love your price...they go for 6.50 at the LYS) Which means I would basically be making one sweater for free at your prices!

I am sooooo confused...which one do you really like best and what color are you calling turquoise?

Just FYI I will be getting yarn for three sweaters...2 for girls and 1 for a boy....and want one group of colors that will work for all....I will be getting between 8 and 10 skeins of yarn.

I am about to the point of just picking one solid color and giving up. My LYS had the solids but not the quatros! (I wish somewhere on-line listed what 4 colors are in there ...would be easier that way.)

I want to make Leo (knitty.com) for dh, and the guage information is:

24 sts/32 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch on US#4/3.50mm
26 sts/32 rows = 4" in 5x3 rib on US#4/3.50mm

Would any of these Cascade yarns work for this project?

Nope. All of these are around 4 stitches per inch on 5's. You need a much lighter weight yarn and cascade doesn't appear to have one that matches that gauge. :(

The only matching color they had was 7818, it's the med blue color that's in the yarn, but it's a perfect match. Which color were you wanting to match? I can just ask the rep which colors match it, I"m sure they'd know ;)

So what did you think of how it looked? That actually was the color I was thinking of matching. It is pretty close to the color of my kids' eyes.

I think it looked pretty darn good, but if it were my choice, I'd match the darkest blue so there was more contrast ;)

If you can find out the darker color go ahead and get that one. I agree with you about the contrast.

If not though it sounds like the med. blue would work...

I want 4 skeins of the quatro and 8 of the solid....That is probably way over what I will actually need but I can always knit them hats/mittens to match!!!

Well I would say that the color looks like Navy to me...It will be nice when you have the color cards....Athough it is a bit like men and hunting I suppose......gotta bag the "right" one. Thank you so much. It will be so much fun to knit sweaters for the kids that match.
