I dyed a pile of playsilks with koolaid this week, and I'm noticing that no matter how long I simmer them, the water never gets clear. Am I doing something wrong? Are they all going to fade horribly? Any tips??

I did four varieties, purple (black cherry mixed with berry blue) w/pink, green (artic apple) w/blue (berry blue), orange w/ yellow (lemonade), and one in just black cherry.
You can see the purple/pink ones here:

I need to take pictures of the others.

I dyed mine with koolaid and my water never got totally clear either, but I think I used too much koolaid. But I only hand wash once in a while and hang dry. They still look fine... maybe not quite as vibrant.

I guess I shouldn't worry about it too much. They're not likely to get wet often, and they probably won't be washed often either, not like a soaker!
Thanks for the replies. :)
