Okay, I want to try some of the Bartlett's...but alas my 2 1/2 year old is out of diapers!!! What else could I knit with it...and then how much yarn would I need.....

I was thinking maybe sweaters for all three of my kids, but I haven't a clue how much yarn I might need (kids are 7, almost 5 and a small 2.5 year old) Or should I just get enough for a sweater for myself?

If you're wanting 2 ply just get a patter and see how much yardage you need for worsted weight yarn. My dd's raglan sweater took 7.5 oz of worsted yarn with a hair left over for a size 3T.

You expect that I would be organized enough to actually have a pattern?

Actually, I may have one in mind......

Well, I can look through my raglan book and give you a good guesstimate if you want.

Gee I just checked your site and there are only 3 skeins of the Bartlett's 2 ply left!!!!

And here I was thinking it was time to order enough to knit a sweater for myself. I have some other wool I could use for sweaters for the kiddos. But I think I would need 4 or 5 of the Bartlett's for a sweater for myself.

Okay, I want 5 but the cart won't let me take more than 3 right?

What should I do?

My order arrived today - I love the yarn and it is for me not for soakers.
Am I nuts and the only one who loves the smell of wool? I remember a sweater I got where I used to work that customers kept bringing back b/c it "smelled". I loved the smell....MMMMMM wool.....

Now to figure out what I want to make...I am thinking of leaving the yarn natural and making a cabled sweater.......Of course that means I probably won't have it done for a year!
