I'm DYEING!!! - UPDATED w/a Picture! :D

Ok...I am DYEING w/REAL colors!!!! :D Ok, I'm a bit excited here... :) I got some acid dyes and have started...lol..now I have a question...

How bad is it to dye in my Kitchen? I'm mixing the powders outside, but then adding water and other stuff inside my Kitchen. I painted the yarn on my kitchen table on top of plastic wrap...so, am I endangering my family by doing this? I'd really like to know. I have separated the dyeing materials from the food prep materials...

Good for you.. I hope they turn out great!

Another question along this line. Has anyone ever dyed yarn using juice "i.e. grape juice, etc). I was thinking, if it stains clothes, it should be a good "stain" for yarn. Any thoughts?

I hope it's okay because I just used them in my kitchen this afternoon. This was my first time using the acid dyes and the colors turned out so pretty.
