I am looking for a beret style hat pattern for ds (6 months old). I am finishing up a pair of soaker pants in black/charcoal and have decided he needs a beret to go with them! Does anyone have a link to a pattern for this type of hat? I can't find one in an infant/toddler size. TIA!!

Thanks -- I might just use this one. I have this thing about patterns that don't have a picture, though. I'm still fairly new at knitting and I always like to see what I'm getting myself into, lol! So whenever I search, I always just skip the patterns that have no picture of the finished product, lol

:LOL Actually, I'm the same way, but I know somehow some people can read a pattern and get a visual. That is beyond me for sure.

Well, I couldn't find any +baby+ beret patterns (and I did look! - check out http://freeknittingpatterns.blogspot.com/), nor even kids'. Sorry! Let us know if you find anything.

I think that a beret would be a great opportunity to try and write up your own pattern! Nothing fancy, but a fantastic chance to try something new :)

I've knit exactly 3 things - I'm not ready to write up my own patterns yet, lol!! I am piecing together a pattern for pants for my dd though, using parts of the HSY and LTK patterns. She really wants some pants of her own and picked out this purple furry acrylic yarn which I'm doing the ribbing and coffs in and a pinky-lavendary cashmerino yarn that I'm doing the rest in.
But I've got to finish Holden's pant leg and beret first!

I'm casting on the baby beret right now. I'll post when it's done (and will hopefully figure out how to post a picture by then ,lol!)
Thanks! :wool
