I just read all the introductions and thought I should introduce myself too.
I am Pamela McGary, mom of 3--- Cadence is 7, Patrick is 4 and Andrea is 2. I have been knitting for so long that I don't really remember when I learned. I also used to crochet - but unfortunately as a lefty couldn't be taught to do that right handed. I may try a soaker crocheted one of these days.
I started knitting soakers when Patrick was young. I tried to come up with something that was as functional as the Aristocrat soaker at a more reasonable cost.
So, now my dd has a plethora of soakers from all sorts of patterns. I tend to tinker with the patterns a good bit to make them sort of my own. (A bit of a challenge as Patrick was a chunky monkey in the diaper dept. and Andrea is very lean!)
I am currently working on a pair of soaker shorts for a friend. Soon I will have to do all my soaker knitting for others as I am sure any day Andrea will actually make it to the potty EVERY time!!
