About me
Hello, Im Pamela Grossman, your host. So you want to know a bit about
me and my little business here?
Well, I have two sons: Sam (9/9/99) and Eli (11/23/02). Ive been knitting
since I was a young girl, and Ive taught many people to knit. Though I
am a teacher by profession, Ive been a full time SAHM since Eli was born.
After years of teaching students from preschoolers to college-age, Ive
set aside my MA in Deaf Education for a while to focus on my own children.
Eli has been cloth diapered from birth and I started making wool soakers for
him. I showed off my very first kool-aid-dyed soaker (from the Fern and Faerie
free pattern) at the MotheringDotCommune diapering forum and was overwhelmed
with a deluge of orders. My soaker was named a Wooly Wonder by diapering
guru Heather Sanders (www.thediaperhyena.com) and thats when the fun began.
After a cross-country move slowed down my ability to produce custom soakers,
I turned my interest to developing and teaching my own patterns. And now, with
my own small business, I plan to continue doing just that. Ive added forums
to my site because the only thing more fun than making wool soakers for your
babe is chatting about the creative process and showing them off to others!
I hope you enjoy the community were creating here.
Welcome to woolywonder.com!
